We couldn't do what we do without the generous support of our members and friends. We are proud that roughly 60% of our funding comes from the individual donations of thousands of Vermonters. These donations help us to counter the special interests and work together to make sure that the public voice is a driving force in policy discussions and legislative solutions. There are two ways to support our work:

Support VPIREF's research and public education work Help us research the issues and educate Vermonters about the solutions that will work for all of us. Donations to VPIREF, our 501(c)3 education and outreach arm, supports independent research and education on critical issues facing all Vermonters. Donations to VPIREF are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. more info

VPIRG Vermont Public Interest Research Group Our lobbying and policy work is funded through this non-partisan 501(c)4 nonprofit advocacy organization. Your donation to VPIRG goes directly to our lobbying and advocacy efforts in the State House and beyond. Your VPIRG donation will help to fund our advocacy team and their work to press for lasting legislative and policy solutions to the most important public interest issues. For over twenty-five years, VPIRG's respected advocates and ability to mobilize grassroots pressure have won victories for Vermonters. We can only continue our efforts with your financial support. VPIRG members receive our newsletter, VPIRG Activist, timely issue alerts, and the opportunity to put your concerns into action.

When you join VPIRG you will be supporting the work of Vermont's largest citizen-based advocacy group. Your voice will be heard through VPIRG's legislative lobbying and grassroots action as VPIRG works to protect Vermont's way of life.

Citizen Action Network

Whenever VPIRG must respond quickly to events, we send out an email. This approach is useful to get people to attend a public hearing or to call or write elected officials during the Vermont legislative session. Unexpected needs arise frequently, and a few extra voices make the difference. You do not have to be a VPIRG member to be part of our Citizen Action Network.
